Monday, April 27 (Day 35) WOD: Cutaway A single shot inserted into a sequence of shots that momentarily interrupts the flow of action, usually introducing a pertinent detail away from or outside of the current shot. It is frequently used as transitional footage or to avoid a jump cut.

Tuesday, April 28 (Day 36) WOD: Bleeding Video image imperfection characterized by blurring of color borders; colors spill over defined boundaries, “run” into neighboring areas. This is more of a problem with red color hues.

This is typically used to maintain a constant video luminance level by boosting weak (low light) picture signals electronically.
